@garyjpittman: NFL punter Kasey Redfern has tragically passed away at just 35 years old after a three-year battle with brain cancer. Redfern was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor and central nervous system lymphoma in 2023. Despite years of treatment, his health unfortunately deteriorated. On September 26, his 35th birthday, his wife Lauryl shared the heartbreaking news that he was entering hospice care due to serious memory loss, falls, and other complications. She wrote, “His poor brain has had all it can take treatment wise,” and shared their family's wish to keep him as comfortable as possible. Kasey spent time with seven NFL organizations, including the Jaguars, Lions, Cowboys, and Falcons.
