I can’t say this is the right approach but I’ve basically just decided to take an additive rather than an avoidant approach. Focusing on adding more whole foods, more time for play both inside and outside, more sustainable options (like a stainless steel water bottle) where I reasonably can- maximizing the macro stuff. And then I quite literally just don’t sweat the small stuff- I figure my kids are robust enough to handle small exposures to pretty much anything- screen time, plastics, artificial foods, etc. It’s just more manageable for me to think about how I can add in healthy stuff to the stuff we do every single day than avoid the unhealthy stuff we encounter and it leaves a lot more room for joy and peace in the everyday!

Its everywhere and constant. Down to what we wear, eat, eat on, heat up, touch everything. Why i have such a stay up at night over wanting and thinking i need prodecures but what does that teach my daughters, how does it impact my body and future wellbeing.

I think about this 24/7. I let him look at the receipt but he’s not allowed to touch them. We’re not perfect but we will definitely be teaching my son about good health. But I also don’t want my son growing up with health anxieties. It can definitely be tough when other people don’t understand our ways. I feel like we struggle with that more than anything
