I don’t know man, I am of the opinion that if it’s true friendship, you WILL eventually reach out no matter what’s happening. So if someone ghosted you because they were going through something and you tried to be there for them and they still rejected you, and they didn’t reach out after things calmed down either, take it as your cue to leave it be. I speak from experience. ;)

I experienced the same thing but I look at it differently. Cancer woke me up. Who deserves a seat at my table and who’s only been sitting there because I was feeding them. Very sad but it’s true.

As opposed to a good Dad joke? 😂. That is very sweet. 💐. I think just consider the the attempt to be the mission. And they will likely see it. And then, next week… and so on. Send a card. No one expects a card in return. But they know they’re not forgotten. Cards are really special.
