@dershpiel: Jewish billionaire and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has donated nearly $40 million to Democratic candidates and political groups during this year’s midterm elections, CNN reports. He is also helping fund a $20 million campaign to win Republican-held House seats. That is a group effort, not another $20 million from Pritzker alone. His donations include $500,000 to Michigan Democrats and more than $1 million to Texas governor candidate Gina Hinojosa. The spending comes as Pritzker considers a possible 2028 presidential run. He has not announced a campaign and says reading his donations as a signal about 2028 would be inaccurate. His priority, he says, is winning in November.
