It hurts knowing how much of my life I sacrificed to help my mom, only to find myself struggling and wishing I had someone who would show up for me. Today, I wish I had someone to help me with the endless list of chores. Laundry, dishes, litter boxes, trash, cleaning, groceries, taking care of myself… and that's before I even get to the medical appointments, paperwork, bills, checking the mail, or trying to find a new job. I'm exhausted from work, and I know that if I push myself to get everything done today, I'll pay for it tomorrow. I have to choose between keeping up with my responsibilities and preserving enough energy to keep working. This is the sacrifice so many chronically ill people make every single day. We sacrifice our social lives, our hobbies, our time with loved ones, and sometimes even our basic needs because we simply don't have the energy to do it all. How do you prioritize when everything feels important but your body physically cannot keep up? I'm frustrated. I'm exhausted. I'm grieving the things I can no longer do, and I'm struggling to accept how much my functional capacity continues to decline. I'm doing the best I can, but my best looks different every day, and lately, it feels like less and less. I don't need another reminder to be resilient. I need support. I need rest. I need a life that doesn't require me to sacrifice my health just to survive. And I'm tired of having to figure it all out alone. #ChronicIllness #DisabilityAwareness #SpoonieLife #UnwellAndUnapologetic #InvisibleDisability
