I had a girl friend like this. We were friends for 20 years and she not only slept with TWO of my long term partners while I was with them, she tried to sleep with my current partner, and has even stolen my other friends before by turning them against me. Worst case I ever saw of wanting to be ‘that girl.’ Safe to say we are (finally) no longer friends 😂

Because she’s insecure and her value/worth is derived from it. . I’ve struggled with it- still do, and I noticed it stemmed from being mistreated and cast aside by both men and women bc of my looks. So now, having grown to be more ‘conventionally attractive’, even though I think I’m beautiful, I still catch myself desiring the validation because it is a reassurance that I won’t be mistreated, abused or made to feel worthless like I was before. It’s a battle, life is hard🤷♀️

I think sometimes it isn’t just about the man, this doesn’t work in isolation. It’s about the hurt the friend feels as well, and her getting to feel better than someone even though she didn’t inflict it directly

This starts really young. Someone from high school was doing this. She would even do it if one of her exes moves on she would make sure she gets him back. Eventually she was juggling so many guys to prove a point and at some point she threatened to beat me over a guy I didn’t even know was her EX… we were just talking btw. I’m talking about a hot hot girl like gorgeous

I have experienced such girls firsthand and they further go into relationships with men that already have girlfriends just to prove a point, i happened to be a friend of one and she keeps getting disappointment from such men cuz she clearly knows these men are in committed relationships and still goes ahead to be in a relationship with them

This happened to me once I was at an event I made a move on this one guy and forgot to ask his name (he was extremely attractive) fast forward later that night I see him again at the far end of the room I motioned him to come over and he did (he was with his boys and came over to me and my girls) we go back and forth he leaves tell me why this girl says that it was a prank cause all of his friends came over lucky one of my friends saw me moving to him and told her the way she started back tracking.
