Here are 10 that hit differently: 1. WHEN HE HANDLES A PROBLEM FOR YOU Instead of: ❌ "Thanks." Try: ✅ "I love how you always know what to do. I feel like I can relax when you're around." Now you're not only thanking him for what he did. You're telling him how his presence makes you feel. He'll remember that one 😂. 2. WHEN HE'S REALLY GOOD AT SOMETHING ❌ "Oh, that's cool." ✅ "You're actually REALLY good at this. I love watching you when you know exactly what you're doing." Whether he's fixing something, cooking, negotiating, driving or explaining something he knows well, genuine admiration goes a long way. 3. WHEN HE PLANS A GREAT DATE ❌ "The restaurant was nice." ✅ "You planned this so well. I love when you take the lead like this." Character compliments hit differently because you're saying: "I've been paying attention to who you are when nobody is performing." 10. WHEN YOU WANT TO GIVE HIM THE COMPLIMENT HE'LL REALLY REMEMBER Tell him something he does to you. ✅ "I don't think you realize how much softer I feel around you." Or: ✅ "I love who I get to be when I'm with you." Or even: ✅ "You make it very easy for me to let my guard down." Those are difficult to forget because you're not just telling him he's attractive. You're telling him his presence has an effect on you. And that's really the secret. The compliments people remember aren't necessarily the biggest ones.
