$60 million a year at a 10% return is 6 million a year, so he gets roughly 550,000 per month, and that house payment is 60,000 a month.

No one that’s bought a 20 million dollar house in the last 20 years, has made money on it

that's not how it works. that's still income. they're going to tax you on income it doesn't matter what you do with the rest. but as far as buying a property in cash and then getting a loan out it was the same difference as just getting a loan from beginning with it doesn't change anything

I mean for the most part he’s right. Yea he spent 25 mil on the home but it’s not “spent” as that house has value. He’ll spend maybe 1.5 in upkeep but he’s probably making more than that in interest.

The advisors only get pissed when you make large purchases because it lowers your total portfolio which they charge to manage for you. Means they make less money off you as that portfolio drops in value or loses cash assets.

What does that mean? The number was larger than 100 after taxes if the gross number was 100 million how can you net larger than 100 million after taxes and why would the guy interviewing agree with that statement?

Big exit and he is still making money from other investments. Hes okay. The Aspen house will always be valuable and at this point he can support it.
