A grieving husband should not have to stand in front of the Vice President of the United States and demand answers his own government should have provided long ago. These families gave more than any country should ever have to ask of them. The absolute LEAST their government owes them is the truth. Because you don't get to send Americans into harm's way, wrap them in a flag when they come home, call them heroes, and then hide behind ignorance when their families demand accountability. Their lives were not disposable, their deaths are not just headlines, and their families deserve a hell of a lot more than "I didn't know."
