@cra_c_beautiful1: I want the kind of relationship where loving each other isn’t something we only feel behind closed doors. I want affection to be normal. Holding hands. Random kisses. Long hugs. Speaking highly of each other. Looking across a crowded room and knowing exactly where home is. I want us to know how to disagree without trying to destroy each other. No disrespect. No intentionally saying the one thing we know will hurt the deepest. No turning private vulnerabilities into weapons just because we’re angry. We can be upset and still remember that we love each other. I want two people who have both had to be strong in so many areas of life to finally have somewhere we don’t have to be strong all the time. Somewhere we can be soft, vulnerable, affectionate and honest without worrying about those parts of ourselves being used against us later. I don’t expect us to be perfect.
