My first c-section was HORRIBLE! I couldn’t walk normal for like over a month without severe pain. My second c-section was a breeze! I was walking pretty well in the hospital, which was absolutely not the case with my first. Saying this in case anyone is having their second c-section that they know the experience can also differ each birth!

I laboured almost 43 hours and ended up having an emergency c section 💀

I also had a shoulder dystocia baby 1st time around, so scary. Did they recommend a c section or is it something that you wanted?

I feel like something is wrong with me… the c section recovery for me was HORRIBLE. I couldn’t move and cried for weeks while just trying to walk.

This is not making me sad I chose a scheduled c-section for my baby measuring at the 97th percentile. I had a c-section with my first and didn’t find the recovery terrible at all

My c sections took me OUT 😅 I hated all 3 of them. Crazy how different everyone’s experiences are!

Honestly I’d rather push anyday than have a c section. Just had my 2nd C section 2 weeks ago and that first week is the most terrible pain ever.

I'm about to go through my first birth and I'm 98% sure I want a planned c-section 😅 I'm 4'5 and just feel like my body will not handle a vaginal birth well. Thank you for sharing your experience! ❤️

Were you still able to breastfeed being on the higher pain meds? That’s what I’m most nervous about.

1st labours are SO HARD. I’m glad I continued to birth vaginally for baby 2 & 3. I’m also glad I never have to 1st time labour again. Wholly my 2nd and 3rd were a breeze and my 1st was not a good example. Had I stopped there I’d think birth was just hell, point blank.

Thank you for this! I’m doing a planned c section after a fourth degree tear vacuum assist horror of a vaginal birth and I’m so glad you felt like the c section was easier. I know it’ll have challenges, but gosh, I can’t do something worse this time than last time

I literally asked my doctor if they started my csection yet and he goes, “ we are almost to baby” thank goodness bc my first was an emergency and it was horrible

I also had a shoulder dystocia with third degree episiotomy plus a hemorrhage. My recovery was brutal compared to my friends who didn't have this experience. Even a friend who tore had a much easier recovery.

My first was emergency c-section and recovery was ROUGH. My second was scheduled c-section and it was amazing. I would do it again 100%

I had a failed induction and was laboring for 3 days before my c-section so I got both in one 😅 at like 3am on the 4th day they’re like yeah nothing is happening so we’re doing a c-section you’ve been in labor way too long. My baby was out by 4:30am

See I loved the calmness of my c section but god later that night once I started moving I felt like I’d been hit by a train and that continued for a good 3 weeks. Hoping to try for a VBAC this time to see how that goes.

These comments are making me feel like I’m insane 😅 I had an emergency c-section and the pain was awful. The burning, tearing pain when I stood up lasted for weeks. Everytime I did anything that used my abdominal muscles, I felt like my incision was going to burst open and my insides would fall out.
