I agree that it’s Cali state policies/taxes that cause their gas to be more expensive per gallon, however, in both Texas and California comparing both January 2026 and today, the increase is both about 65% which to me indicates that it’s most likely to be the war in Iran that raised the prices.

How much did Calf increase their tax this year vs last year? And It is great how you love to compare CA to TX as if they are neighboring states. We both know TX gas isn’t cheaper just because of Republicans and regulations. If that was the case why is MN and SD almost the exact same? Why is WY and MT more expensive than both SD and MN? And lastly why did prices go up starting in Feb of ‘26 and not late in 2025 when 2 other refineries closed?

they closed OLD refineries that did not meet environmental standards, the reason for tax3s and California blend is because of population density, we have more drivers, more cars, if you ever saw los angeles in the 80's when you couldn't see the skyline from the smog, and California gas prices are not affecting gas prices as a whole, 9 months of war we were promised wouldn't happen, cute how you say " conflict" when its called war
