Extension cord in the wall can be both a dangerous and expensive mistake. In-wall kits are easy to install so there's really no need for this.

Ok so #1 reason why you don't want to run an extension cord in the wall is if there is some sort of a fire or issue insurance can deny your claim. Might want to send the extra $60 in parts and just run an outlet up there

They extension cord is NOT safe! My cousins house caught on fire bec of it. Not sure how exactly to this date but those scare me so much they are banned in all our households.

Please do not let them run that extension cord in the wall especially near a heat source. They do sell kits on Amazon that may help out if they do not want to have someone install an outlet.

I’ve hung all my TVs using this. You’ll also need washers. Sometimes, the mounting holes won’t line up perfectly with the studs, so the washers help with the installation.
