Those of you who have been around for a while will know my side hustle used to be baking & these were my extremely popular chocolate brownies. I am not a fan of a really rich brownie so I always do them with more of a milk chocolate base. If you want to make these reindeer brownies even easier you can also just buy a brownie mix or even pre made brownies. But if you do have time to make your own the recipe is below…they freeze really well too so if you don’t need this many you can freeze some to save for another occasion & decorate them with something different. To make 21 brownies you will need: 225g margarine 400g caster sugar 60g cocoa powder 4 large eggs 400g melted milk chocolate 1 tsp vanilla 125g plain flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 100g white chocolate chips Edible eyes 21 pretzels 21 red smarties 100g melted milk chocolate Pre heat the oven to 180C Melt the margarine in the microwave for around 40 seconds then add to a mixing bowl along with the sugar & cocoa. Mix well until fully combined. Add the eggs, vanilla & 280g of the milk chocolate. Be careful not to burn the chocolate when melting, I tend to do it in the microwave starting with 30 seconds, then 2 mins on defrost stirring after each burst & repeating until fully melted. Mix well until full combined. To the flour add the baking powers in the gradually add this to the batter a small amount at a time ensuring that it is fully mixed in before you add the next lot. Add the batter to an oven proof tray & sprinkle over the chocolate chips. Bake in the middle of the oven for 30 mins, I used a 30cm x 20cm tray so if you are using a bigger one you can reduce the time & if a smaller one you may need to increase it. To check if they are cooked stick in a knife or a skewers & if it comes out clean they are done. Remove from the oven & all to cool completely.
