I work full time, my husband works full time. I would much rather stay home, but my husband has childhood trauma around having a SAHM and there not being enough $. So I work for his piece of mind. I don't make much, I take care of the kids, I don't miss a field trip or school activity, I cook every meal, I do most of the laundry, we clean and yard work together, but that's what works for us. He makes plenty for me to stay home, but his piece of mind is more important to me than me being home.

I did this for 13 years but when all my kids went to school life seemed to get more expensive. high school sports ARE EXPENSIVE so now I work too but for 13 years I loved that life. enjoy it!

SAHM here 🩷 nobody else will understand this lifestyle until they choose to live in it. Bc let’s be honest… it’s a CHOICE to stay home. We could all work.. but some mommas sacrifice a lot to stay home. Do what works for yall and screw everyone else 🥰

At one time, I thought I wanted to be a SAHM. Then I spent a week off with my little one... It is definitely not for me. I love my little one to death! She is my greatest accomplishment in life, but I could not do it! Kudos to you! SAHMs are the real heroes of the world! They really work the hardest with absolutely no rewards.

good for you but experience tells me this is a bad idea…. however you will never regret being with you babies. You may find yourself in a vulnerable situation one of these days tho. You need to have some independence from your husband.

Hmmm, I’m not far from you. We both work. I use to be stay at home for about two years. I clean everyday and clean the clothes. He helped put them away. But he cooks! He is a better cook! But I also keep up with be yard, mow the grass and keep it nice and well kept.

I make sure my husband is good with whatever I wanna buy before I buy it too! I think of it as respect. Even when I was working full time with him. lol

SAHM for the last 16 yrs. I also homeschool our youngest. I do the same thing as far as spending money. If it’s over $100 I’ll ask but it is not required and honestly he does the same thing because I manage our finances even though he makes the Money. I will say I have contributed financially because we built our last house made a huge profit and are currently building our new one ourselves all in cash. I do a lot of the work while he is at work. We also own our own business and I handle the books/office stuff.

As a working mom who takes my 2-year-old and 7-month-old to work, we hire a house cleaner every other month! 😂 We keep meals simple or eat out on weekends. I don’t ask to spend money unless it’s a BIG purchase! Even as a SAHM, I wouldn’t ask to get my hair done. 😂 If we had to budget that tightly for me to stay home, I’d find a side hustle! In my mind, if money is that tight, I don’t need to be staying home!

I’m the breadwinner he does all the housework, I control the finances but he never has to ask. I cook on the holidays even though I can cook very well. I just work and mom.

Yes to all of thisss && I feel you with the house being clean , I can’t function & we don’t leave house much unless I take them to do stuff on my own , or on weekends when my husband is home .

same! I've been a sahm before I spend anything I always ask. Does he ever tell me no nope but I always ask 🤷♀️i do all cleaning and cooking except for weekends he cooks. when he gets home he will help me clean kitchen after we eat.

If you want to ask before and it’s not expected from him it’s one thing. If he wants that control it gives ick. Just in my opinion. What works for one doesn’t for the other and that’s life! Me? I’m gonna do as I please, but that’s also why I’m a corporate girly lol!
