🚨 Cristiano Ronaldo declared himself the greatest of all time, and Beckham responded: 🗣️Reporter: “David, Cristiano Ronaldo has proclaimed himself the greatest footballer of all time, placing himself above Pelé, Maradona, and Lionel Messi. What's your reaction?” 🎙️David Beckham: “Honestly, I can't believe he said that. I respect Cristiano, and no one can deny what he's achieved in football, but putting yourself above Pelé, Maradona, and Messi as if there's no debate at all? That's a very bold statement. “Let's be fair. If someone tells me Pelé is the best, I can understand the argument. If someone says Maradona is the best, I can understand that too. Those two men changed football in their own way, and comparing players from different generations will always lead to disagreements. “Look at what Messi's done. The goals, the assists, the dribbling, the playmaking, the trophies, and the way he controls an entire match. He can score like a striker, create like a midfielder, and make defenders look helpless without even needing to score. And then he won the World Cup. At that point, what more are we supposed to ignore? “I played alongside Cristiano at Manchester United, so I know how competitive he is. He always wanted to be the best, and that mentality helped him achieve extraordinary things. But sometimes, I think his confidence crosses the line into arrogance. “There's a difference between believing you're the best and expecting everyone else to agree with you. Football isn't a personal award you give yourself. Your performances, achievements, and influence are what build your legacy. “Cristiano has an incredible goal-scoring record. His achievements in the Champions League and his longevity deserve huge respect. But the GOAT debate goes beyond goals and individual records.” “So, Cristiano can call himself the GOAT if that's what he believes. That's his right. But he can't expect the football world to just accept it because he said so. “You don't become the king of football by announcing it. You leave the world with enough evidence for people to call you that.”#footballupdate #footballnews #creatorsearchinsights - @xallym
