@marketingbizgrowthpod: I just finished Tribes by Seth Godin, and one section stood out to me that I really agree with. From a marketing perspective, a new channel or tactic is rarely as good as the old one at first. So a lot of established brands write it off as beneath them. Meanwhile, a smaller, hungrier company jumps on it early and figures it out. By the time the larger firms are convinced it's the right move, the smaller company has already taken their market share. If you're waiting for a new channel to prove itself before you'll touch it, you're already behind. And what works today may not work for long, because things are changing fast. You don’t have to be good or great at something on day one, you just have to start and in the long run it’s less expensive. #marketing #business
