idk man, Linux is meant to be customizable and systemd is slow in comparison and over-engineered for most use cases. If you want a system that "just works", fine, use systemd. Plus you know the whole "do one thing and do it well" philosophy that arguably is one of the center reasons that Linux (excluding the kernel itself as it doesnt follow the philosophy) is as great as it is. Plus systemd is de facto the standard init system and is hard to just change out, and more systemd users will make the problem of dependance even worse. On top of that we also have the systemd services that cannot easily be swapped out.

It's not the absolute worst, but it's written in a complex way, with too much unnecessary bloatware and it doesn't follow the UNIX philosophy, plus it hides code in some parts.

I dont hate system D, I have no reason to truly dislike it, but I enjoy my freedom of choice in init system and as such choose to use a different one (OpenRC is my favorite but Dinit is shaping up to be something trully great)

I'm openbsd and chimera user but systemd is good for beginners and it made Linux better but I like Openbsd and chimera Linux still I don't hate systemd everyone should use what init they want

Idk I don’t hate systemd at all in fact I love it im still kind of new to Linux and like 4 days before I installed gentoo with openRC I’m having really hard time with it everything is loading slow etc but soon I’m reinstalling it with handbook rather than YouTube tutorial and before installing it I’m wiping all my disks to CLEAN to make everything easier is that reasonable?
