I mean yes almost anyone could do that. What not everyone can do is have a story to go along with the painting, and market the paintings well to the right network of people.

Seeing Jackson Pollock in person for the first time, I just stood there for 30 minutes and when I walked away,I said out loud, "I get it now." They have to be seen in person to see the brilliance.

When I walked into an unexpected room of Rothko at MoCA I started tearing up and my boomer parents looked at me like was having a health crisis.

You’ve got to see abstract expressionism in person. The artwork itself is very atmospheric and is best experienced when its aura can really be felt in a shared space. Viewing it through a book or screen just can’t capture its energy. And if anyone objects to Rothko, I challenge them to visit the Rothko Chapel in Houston. I think that chapel is almost key to understanding his work as a whole.

These paintings are so skilled ours unbelievable. Loved the Krasner paintings more than anything. With pollock. It’s like I’ve seen one, it’s like I’ve seen them all.
