Morticia’s biopsy came back as cancer. Her CT scan didn’t show anything, but watching her struggle was heartbreaking. Every time she heard a can of cat food crack open, she would beg to eat but couldn’t. I truly thought we were bringing her to the vet to say goodbye. But Dr. Hess felt like something wasn’t adding up. She decided to sedate Morticia and do an exploratory of her jaw. There was no visible cancer in her jaw, and she was able to unlock it. Now Morticia can eat again… and she has never been happier. 🖤 One of the hardest parts of rescue is knowing when it’s time. Sometimes the answer isn’t clear, especially when their quality of life feels uncertain. We don’t know how much time Morticia has left, maybe good days, maybe weeks, maybe months, maybe even years. Cats have a way of surprising us and keeping us on our toes. For now, we’re just grateful she gets to enjoy her favorite thing again: eating. 🥹 If you’d like to support Morticia’s ongoing care, please consider donating. Her diagnostics, hospitalization, sedation, procedures, and continued treatment have been extensive, and every donation helps us continue giving cats like Morticia a chance. 🙏 How to Donate: 📱 Text “Vet Bills” to 44-321 (Apple & Google Pay) 💸 Venmo – @puppykittynycity (Business Account) 📧 PayPal – info@puppykittynyc.org 🌐 www.puppykittynyc.org/donate 💬 Comment “DAF” to donate via your Donor Advised Fund! #puppykittynycity #savealife #catcrisisnyc
