i'm deaf in one ear and have minor hearing damage to the other, and horrible vision, "Hellen Keller Lite", or "Halfway to Hellen Keller" if you will, and i constantly miss people trying to get my attention so if i think something is vaguely towards me, i make sure it is or isn't so they don't think i'm ignoring them
