I have had so many homegirls that are with men who don’t dishes, don’t clean up, don’t take care of themselves properly and they put up with it because he pays the bills. I understand to a point but girl.

It’s a triangle and you can choose 2: looks (height, etc), character (personality, religion, etc), intellect (status, education, money, etc). People want all 3 and that leaves us single. Getting 2 is a lot. Most don’t have 1. Many who request all 3 barely have 1.

I was surprised how emotional things got towards the end when focusing more on the relationship dynamic. There’s a scene where Nathan is relating to Amanda a conversation he had with Elizabeth where she talked about her and Billy’s love being like finding God / what people find in religion with another person. Amanda’s initial reaction was disgust because Billy is a narcissist/sociopath and Elizabeth is in a vulnerable position. But Nathan thought it was romantic which is particularly interesting because he was going through a breakup at this point in the film. I’m assuming what she said really resonated with him on a human level. His final convo with Elizabeth face to face in the prison is also interesting where he’s basically asking her why would she want to be with someone like Billy. It’s obvious he sucks in so many weighs. So many red flags. But he’s the only person in the world who is on her side. Everyone else sees her as a terrible person and a huge liar (which maybe she is). But who else is going to support her like he is? Especially given he’s taking care of her children while she’s in prison. Good analysis!

You have broke down exactly what I’ve observed lately!! People’s choices in relationship dynamics is not for outsiders to judge, it is to each their own. Who are we to judge someone’s choice of how they feel safe and achieve their own personal desires? It’s helped me expect less of the opposite sex but the fundamentals of being treated right are always there but like you said… it’s always a trial run before the mask falls off and we find out if it still works for us personally. You made such a great point I appreciate your video!!!

The part at the end about money made my ears perk up… I was wondering why Billy said there’s levels to wealth when Nathan said Elizabeth May be with him bc of money. I initially assumed he meant that his family was rich but there are families that are richer but now maybe he meant his family had money but not him. Or the money it tied up in something else that is led available than people may think… maybe that’s part of why Elizabeth was the base choice when he thought Theranos was legit.
