However, when he’s not doing a photo shoot or in a show…he is braided up and he see’s just fine. 2. “He’s going to trip on his feather.” Nope. Feather is part of what makes this breed so iconic. They’ve lived and worked with heavy feather for centuries. These horses are agile and sure-footed. Some say the more feather the more docile the horse. 3. “Too much work to clean.” He does take work, yes…and we’re proud of that. We invest time and care into keeping him healthy, groomed, and loved. Just like all our horses. They’re worth every minute. 4. “All that hair is neglect.” Actually, it’s quite the opposite. A neglected horse wouldn’t shine and look like this. His hair is brushed, washed, and maintained with love and knowledge. 5. “Is he a Shire or Clydesdale?” He’s a registered Gypsy Cob…a traditional breed bred from the Romany Gypsies known for their strength, feather, and gentle disposition. 6. “He can’t live his best life like this.” Trust us…he lives a very, very good life. This beautiful boy is given and has the best of the best. 7. “He can’t breed with all that hair.” Not true. Hair has zero effect on breeding.
