Ontario needs to run ads to show drivers that cyclists are on the road too. Not many people know the rules unless you are a cyclist or it’s been ingrained into your brain. So sad the bike lanes were pulled out.

This is the most common accident I’ve seen lol. Cars turning straight into cyclists making hasty rights without checking blind spot.

I’ve almost been hit so many times and it’s always because a car isn’t checking their blind spot before turning right. Luckily I check to see if I’m in their blind spot as a cyclist and will slow down (IF they are even signalling which most cars don’t even do before turning)

I’ve been hit by a car in Toronto while cycling. My friend as well. Both of our situation involved us biking in a bike lane and a turning vehicle hit us and then drove off. In my case, I wasn’t too hurt. My friend was knocked unconscious and luckily he woke up a few hours later and then had to walk home in a delirous state. And what happened to me and my friend are not uncommon occurrences.
