im a licensed cosmotologist so just here to try and help. you should mix a purple that is a depositing color like your red to get the Burgandy red. using a depositing color mixed with one that needs a developer won't work the same mixed together since they are two different types of color. one type just dyed the outer of the hair shat and the developer one opens the what and goes into the cuticles. so that's probably why you didn't get quite the result you wanted. hope this helps! it's still a pretty color though!

I used red and deep violet it gave me a purple red I did not use all the deep violet. I normally experiment and create my own concoctions just cause I’ve been ping my own for years
