Let's have that uncomfortable conversation. Black Americans have spent generations organizing, protesting, advocating, and fighting for rights that have benefited this entire country. Yet our education is questioned. Our credentials are dismissed. Our expertise is undermined. But when America finds itself in crisis, suddenly we're expected to put on a cape and rescue everybody? You cannot keep dismissing Black expertise while treating Black sacrifice as an unlimited public resource. And here's the question nobody wants to answer: Are you willing to challenge an unequal system when doing so means giving up some of your own advantages? Because solidarity without sacrifice is easy.
