Me explaining to people that this documentary has everything: comedy, drama, horror, romance, camp, shlong, sociopaths, thespians, gigantic eyeballs, gorgeous cinematography, meta-textuality, incredible sound design, and someone who graduated from one of Canada's top business schools with really good grades! A masterpiece I can’t wait to re-experience!

Ok can you tell me this… I don’t like docs. I like biopics (a lot) and historical fictions but docs always have these boring atmosphere about them. But I loved Primetime and I guess the rehearsal? So should I watch this or am I gonna be bored of it

Beauty and the beast was also nominated for best picture in 1992, although best animated feature didn’t exist at that point

I’ve always said that the Avatar movies are also animated movies seeing that literally all of it now is green screen and motion capture.

A24 would do well to put its chips behind YCSE and take as many lessons from Neon’s FYC campaign as possible, including the consultants they hired. One handicap, though, is YCSE won’t have SAG Award momentum like Parasite did.

I feel like I missed something cuz to me, it was like a 3/5 at best. Didn’t feel like it was much more than an interesting case study on 2 psychopaths. Nate was great and hilarious as always, Amanda was a pretty good Jim Halpert kind of figure. But I just feel like in 3 hours it didn’t manage to say much, and every argument I’ve seen as to a “point” or thesis can be countered by deliberate choices the filmmakers made in presentation. Can someone pls lmk what I missed?

Great but too long. After she goes to prison I think it drags with Billy. Still amazing but not best picture worthy

The Invite was hallow. I’d be offended if it was nominated for anything. It’ll be forgotten in a year
