Follow @themccollams for more family adventure travel tips, unfiltered experiences & incredible destinations 🏔️ 🥾 There’s no hiking required, so they’re perfect for a family trip and people of all ages and abilities. ⌛ They also don’t take up much time or require a large detour, making them ideal stops to break up the drive between Monument Valley and Moab. 📅 Spring and Fall are the best times to visit. It can be extremely hot in summer and muddy or snowy in winter. 🧭 Driving from Monument Valley to Moab? Visit these spots in the order below (enter Valley of the Gods from the West Entrance). If driving the opposite way, reverse the order and enter Valley of the Gods from the East Entrance. 🔴 Goosenecks State Park 💰 $5 per vehicle ⏱️ Around 20 minutes for the viewpoint 🚗 Easily accessible by all vehicles. 🔴 Moki Dugway 💰 Free ⏱️ 20 minutes one way, around 1 hour total (up and down) with photo stops 🚗 Suitable for most vehicles except larger RVs and trailers due to tight switchbacks and a steep grade when dry. We drove it in a campervan, but 4x4 only if wet. 🔴 Valley of the Gods 💰 Free ⏱️ 1–2 hours with photo stops 🚗 Suitable for many vehicles when dry, but not recommended for larger RVs, trailers or low-clearance vehicles. We drove it in a campervan, but 4x4 only if wet. ✅ Bonus tip: Drive to Muley Point (around 10 minutes from the top of Moki Dugway) for an incredible viewpoint.
