@secretsofexistence1: The More Than 400 Massacres on Australia's Colonial Frontier When British ships arrived in 1788, Aboriginal peoples had already lived across Australia for tens of thousands of years, with their own languages, laws, and territories. Researchers at the University of Newcastle have documented more than 400 frontier massacres, with over 10,000 Indigenous people killed in those recorded incidents alone. At Myall Creek in 1838, 28 Aboriginal men, women, and children were murdered by stockmen. Today, the original peoples are still fighting to preserve their lands, languages, and history. #AboriginalHistory #AustralianHistory #MyallCreek #IndigenousHistory #History.
