@missleighh: Do we live in a brand new home? Sure don’t! We live in a 1970’s Dutch colonial home that was hardly updated when we bought it last year. To most people online these days, they’d say it was old, outdated, average, and normal. And honestly, what’s wrong with any of those adjectives? See when we bought this home we wanted a home that felt like our home as kids. I didn’t want brand new. I didn’t want cookie cutter. I wanted character. I wanted used. I wanted a house that was lived in. I wanted comfort and familiarity. I wanted imperfection. Now of course we’ve made updates (a lot of them😅). But it still does feel “old” if I’m being honest, and that’s by design. I love our home so much. I’ve never felt so content in a place than I have here. Your home doesn’t have to be big or brand new for it to be perfect for *you*.💕#averagehome #homedecor #Home #decor #normalhouse
