@kingkarnes: Cynthia Ardina Leslie (15) and Jackie Lynn Leslie were last seen on July 31, 1974, in Mesa, Arizona. The sisters were walking to a friend's house, three blocks from their home in Desert Shores Mobile Home Park, specifically on Baseline Road near Power Road. They never returned home, leaving all their personal belongings behind. A note left for their mother indicated they were going to babysit, but they reportedly planned to attend a party instead. Their father had asked Cynthia to avoid an unidentified teenage boy, whom she may have intended to meet. Accounts from the party are conflicting, with some attendees claiming to have seen the sisters there and others stating they never arrived. Their father passed away months after their disappearance from terminal cancer. Their mother believed they would never have left him while he was ill. Foul play is suspected, though little evidence is available.
