You can get a judgment but collecting it is a completely different story. Even collections attorneys are unsuccessful much of the time. Get as much free legal advice as you can.

about 12 years ago I was burglarized twice. over $6000 of my personal items stolen. the guy was caught. I pressed charges. took him to court. he not only went to jail but was supposed to pay restitution which he never paid me. I'm in nys.
