People have no common sense or manners. I was going for a FET and my 2 emrbyos failed to thaw, I told my dad and he said 'maybe it's just not meant to be'. That hurt just as bad as losing the embryos.

Everyone keeps telling us to go on vacation and get drunk, that it worked for them. (We’ve had 4 miscarriages and multiple surgeries and procedures with no living children yet) 😅

I had a dentist appt last year when I was starting IVF and had to list the meds I was on and the hygienist was asking what they were for and when I said I was doing IVF she said “I can’t imagine having to do all that just to have a kid” and then proceeded to ask lots of questions. like lady, I had to tell you the meds. This wasn’t an open invitation to talk about it and make comments on my infertility

When people used to ask us if we had kids we used to say "no, not yet" until one lady responded "be thankful you don't, they're alot". So we stopped being polite. Now the answer is "Nope, they all d!ed". It shuts the convo down really quick. Ask an uncomfortable question then I'll make it uncomfortable for the both of us. 😅

Yeah…..people are clueless and everyone seems to think they know better than an actual Dr! That is the main reason we told no one, not even our parents - they are still clueless 23 years in. Sad part is most people/public just expect us to suffer in silence bc it makes it easier for them. 🙄.

I’m so sorry that happened! People just don’t think before they speak. We’re starting IVF in January and yesterday someone asked, “so who’s the problem, you or him?” Like excuse me?? I am, but thanks for that.😅

“What’s your excuse?” Is absolutely crazy. I feel this in such a different way. When I’m asked “Well why aren’t you married yet?” Or “Have you actually tried to go in dates?” Or my absolute least favorite “Well maybe God is just not giving you marriage right now because you aren’t ready for it.” It just amazes me how people just don’t think about how the way they ask questions or make comments can be so hurtful when it is things that we are praying so hard for

I work in a warehouse and this older lady that asked me on my very first day “ hey do you have kids” I politely said “no I don’t” then proceed to tell me “why you can’t have any there’s something wrong with you” mind you I’ve been dealing with infertility going on 3 years arounds of clomid, 3 HSG’s and Endo surgery.

I had to tell my parents to stop telling me to quit stressing about trying bc my body doesn’t ovulate and bc they had 3 kids accidentally they didn’t understand that your body needs to at the very least ovulate to get pregnant. My god the comments they’d make drove me nuts
