@bayareawithlizzy: Frontier Village closed in 1980, but for so many of us who grew up in San Jose, it never really left. 🥹❤️ I went back to where it once stood. Some of the old trees are still there, the eucalyptus still fills the air, and little reminders of the park remain. The rides may be gone, but we still have the memories - and the stories we pass on to our children and grandchildren. Frontier Village Forever. ❤️🫶🏽🤠
So many memories at FV as a child. And now they’re closing Great America too! I was really looking forward to bringing my grandkids there someday 😢

I remember Santa's Village too! We had so many cool options as kids in the 80's. Marine World, Great America, Happy Hollow, Exploratorium, Egyptian museum and I remember a field trip showing space and constellations in the ceiling.

That’s funny we always had the company picnics at frontier village until great. America opened. Then we always went to Marriotts.

Can you remember where everything was placed like where the cars used to go around is where the playground is now. You can rent picnic areas through the city of San Jose. That's why I have all my kids parties now.

I’m 51 now , I haven’t been since I was 5. I remember all of this. And yea the trout ponds were amazing as a kid. Now it’s kinda ironic that great America is now closing or is it already? Time is strange. I wish I could bottle it and re live some of these times
