It’s performative BS! and until our system actively supports third party voting across all states there’s isn’t a point. I say this as a registered independent. So the goal should be to get the system to support 3rd party systems then go from there!!

Should... but sometimes you have to vote for the left most candidate who will win (in your system). In my system (Australia) I have preferential voting, so I would vote for the candidate who best represents me, and move right so that my last preference is the right most candidate. Under yours I'd have to hold my nose and vote Dem.

I agree with these people. But at the same time, I hate these people because they’re why we have Donald Trump now. Primaries are the time to vote on principal regular elections are the time to vote for harm reduction. I will absolutely take a BLT with rotten tomatoes every single time in lieu of a BLT with bacon infected with trichinosis.
