As a wallabies fan it is hard to stay tuned to a game where the wallabies are just getting BTA. When (I’m optimistic) the wallabies get better and can stay in the contest for the whole game then the viewers will stay! Also doesn’t help that only a handful of wallaby games are on free to air. Hard to stay up to date with the players at super level if no one watches

the problem is most Rugby matches are behind a paywall to start with, on top of that - the bulk of Rugby Union fans are derived from private schools, only a third of the population went to private schools… Rugby Australia needs to get Rugby Union in State Schools AND get Rugby Union on free-to-air TV, not just Wallabies games - Super Rugby and All Blacks games.

I’m a league fan but you can’t really compare this. It was the second game for rugby and the All Blacks had already won it. Compare the rugby World Cup with the league World Cup

Well… league is on free tv while union is on paid subscription. Obviously people are going to watch free tv more hence the views league got. Which is why Union and Soccer should be on either Fox or free tv. Although I love league more than those 2
