Been a landlord for over 30 years and do this full time, have evicted tenants over the years and am evicting 2 now from feb 2025, have a possession date on one of them but it’s still going to take 3 months before bailiffs how is this fair!!! Corrupt Governments one I’m evicting has over 15k rent arrears😡

your so right. my lease ended with the council two years ago.the tts are still there but council still paying the rent .but now I hired a private solicter to evict the council from my house. I'll get my money back bec they didn't contest ....so I still win.

A simple way to get this fixed should be that this can be just taken to a small claims court. It will literally be resolved within three months so the tenant doesn’t pay for two consecutive months. They should allow you to take that tenant to court not get them evicted bucket the CCJ on them for the two months that they haven’t paid that’s it small claims you pay £80 problem sorted but they don’t make it that easy on purpose.
