@jasmine.ritt: You can’t have a relationship without emotional security. BOTH partners have to feel safe in the relationships safe to open up, safe to say what they are feeling, safe to feel like they can not always have to walk on eggshells around the other person. I’m not saying that this is always the man’s fault. I’ve been guilty of not being able to provide the security needed because I had my walls up so high that I could only allow so much in. I wasn’t my best self, or the best partner. I took accountability for that. I apologized for that. I learned from that. When somebody owns up to their own shortcomings and is willing to take the steps to improve, but the other partner doesn’t see fault in themselves, or doesn’t seem to validate the changes made, or just simply apologies in an insincere way to end the conversation, that’s not love. An apology made out of love isn’t a “my bad”type of apology. That’s the type of apology you make when bump into someone accidentally, not hurt someone’s feelings. Its invalidating, it’s sometimes more hurtful than the act itself. I’m a work in progress and will always be, but a partner who loves me, and is willing to work with me…man. 🤞🏻❤️🩹 #fyp #Love #dating #healing #selflovejourney
