You can have any degree but you must have the Pre-reqs. Having a bio degree covers a majority of the pre reqs.

Pretty interesting how it’s so different in different countries. Here in Sweden there’s a dedicated bachelors degree that gives you the ability to get the certificate (it’s a protected job title). You can also work in the field with relevant degrees but as a laboratory engineer. I’m currently studying the bachelors, but working part time as a laboratory assistant/technician :)

I do have a question. Since you've done your ASCP, do the labs still rotate you around or puts you on a specific section depending on what you got on your ASCPi since that's almost like your specific expertise now in that section?
