@dgm.america: Every word an AI writes is a bet, and the model knows the odds. Turn on logprobs and it shows them to you. Every number here is a real capture from a small model running locally on a laptop. The six: 1. Switch it on: "logprobs": true, "top_logprobs": 5. "Paris" came back at 86%. 2. Read the facts, not the filler. Marie Curie's name scored about 100%, but the year's last two digits only 58%. It said 1898; she was born in 1867. 3. A flat top 5 means a coin toss. For one digit, all five options sat between 10 and 14%. Six more asks gave six different years. 4. Check the runner-up. Warsaw won at 26%, with France at 21%. It was right, but only by a nose. 5. Give labels a pass mark. A clear review was positive at 95%, a mixed one at 84%. Send everything under 90% to a person. 6. Confident isn't correct. The model said the Golden Gate Bridge opened in 2007, with every digit at 78% or more. It opened in 1937. Use logprobs to choose what to check, never to skip checking. Save this for the next time your AI sounds sure.
