@jerseytalks_: Hoboken after dark. 🌙 One night this fall on the Mile Square, Hudson County: Washington Street lit up with string lights at 1st, Carlo's Bake Shop across from City Hall (open since 1910, the Valastro family's since 1964, Cake Boss famous since 2009), Basile's Pizza on the corner of Newark Street with the red tables out front busy, Kung Fu Tea behind the carved red door at 536 Washington, the Stevens skybridge glowing over the street and the 1870 Gothic arch of Edwin A. Stevens Hall up on Castle Point (our founder's alma mater), and Newark Street with the brownstones in front and a new tower rising behind them.
