Is he the AH, maybe, but sometimes you do get caught up in a relationship and your needs are not being meet. They need to have an honest discussion about both of their needs and what they are prepared to compromise.

people in this comment section are too blinded by their own need of marriage and kids to understand that what he wants isn't crazy. as a woman that needs alone time but also snores I get him

That’s why I feel everyone deserves to live on their own after leaving home, and before moving in with a partner. He should do that for himself. Even if his fiancé decides to leave him or doesn’t like it.

I know plenty of people like him.
The solution is to have separate bedrooms to sleep in.
Sometimes that's all you need to have a perfect relationship.

I mean if he will consider a separation because of this then the marriage was never gonna last.

I understand his plight. I’m an introvert who married an extroverted bipolar man! We eventually had to sleep in separate bedrooms. He went to bed at 1am. I went to bed at 10pm. I snored and was a light sleeper. I left for work and daycare 2 hours before him. So, I woke early. He talked loud on the phone at night. He liked cold temperatures while sleeping and ran two fans while under a blanket. It literally made me sick from what felt like hyperthermia when we started sleeping together. He gave up one fan. Two bedrooms helped our marriage. My introverted self needed alone time. He thrived in big parties and crowds. The parties drained me while he became recharged! We were together 17 years before divorce over infidelity ended it. Op has to work with his spouse to configure the living arrangements to fit both of them. 😁

OP should give up on the relationship permanently, too many negative things he finds about her, him wanting to be alone, not ready for marriage and if living together again he wants his own room. Leave her, she will find someone who is compatible and deserves her

There's more to this story then what he's saying. if your sleep is do important just have separate rooms for when it's time to sleep.

you aren't wrong for enjoying your independence...but you are wrong if you don't say something now. She needs to know how you feel. It sounds like maybe marriage is not for you and she deserves to be with someone who does want to marry her.
