Let’s get Colombian food 🇨🇴 I had the chance to attend the soft opening of D’Rose, a brand new Colombian restaurant opening tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11th! What made this visit even more special is that I know the owner, Chef Victor, and getting to see his family’s vision come to life was incredible. This is truly a family-driven restaurant. If you look around, nearly everything made of wood was handcrafted by his father and the family themselves. They even painted all of the walls together. You can feel the love and passion that went into every detail, and I honestly think that’s their secret ingredient. I was also so excited to see my server, Dee, who I know personally and is genuinely one of the best servers you’ll ever have. Ask for her if you go! She knows the menu inside and out and shares the stories behind so many of the dishes, which makes the experience even more special. From start to finish, everything was fantastic. The Lulado Sour was the perfect cocktail to kick things off (their take on a Pisco Sour), and the Rosé Sangria with the Colombian popsicle was such a fun and unique touch. The Cheese Canvas with whipped goat cheese was unlike any appetizer I’ve ever had. If I had to pick my favorites, the Empanadas Criollas, Vaca Frita Arepa, and Ceviche Rose completely stole the show. And of course, the Chocorose dessert was the perfect ending. If you’re looking to experience Colombian food in a fresh, modern, and creative way while supporting a family that has poured their hearts into every detail, D’Rose is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back! @D.rose_gastrobar #tampa #tampaeats #colombianfood #newrestaurant
