Worked for a company that Kroger bought and year by year they made working there more miserable.

All the stores that use some kind of rewards card do this. Over a year ago, I tested this by shopping at my local Fry’s. I bought the 17 items I buy the most and took pictures of the price on the shelf. After I checked out, I compared the price charged against the shelf price and 9 of them were different, overcharging me. I immediately went to customer service and they refunded me the difference because I had proof. I can’t do this every time and most people won’t notice.

It’s all the chains. It’s called dynamic pricing. The cameras in the stores link up to the tags and change the price based off of your profile and your visual reactions and o products.

Target is worse. BUT, if you look at grocery store margins from when Trump came into office, they dropped to below 1% from his tariff chaos. If a third of their income is from selling data, it's def not good for them

Aren't most companies doing that now, tho? I think it's called Surge/dynamic/surveillance pricing?
