I dont ever see my character as myself in a video game. Even when I'm given the chance to make a character and do things however I like, I still find myself creating someone else with a new personality and thinking about what they would do when given options. In Stardew Valley or Persona or whatever when I get my character in a relationship, I do it because its who I think my character would make the sweetest couple with, not who I find attractive or who would want to be with.

No, you can’t. We as women play games like stardew, cyberpunk, the sims, etc., and we romance characters too. We read romance and fanfiction. It’s no different from that, so no, it’s not cheating. 😭
