@scroll.engineer: You’re trying to land a fighter jet at 150+ mph… on a moving ship. The brakes aren’t enough. And if you miss ONE cable, you’ve got an even bigger problem. How would you engineer this? 👀

Luis :

fun fact, if you fail to catch a wire and have to start again its called a bolter.

How do the jets take off when there are the steel wires?

Plane Guy✈️ :

Russian jets use cobra manuever before tail hook being active in russia

some_finnishguy :

they actually land with full engine power (not afterburners though) incase the hook doesn't attach

Fellow Kenyan Jvc 🇰🇪🇺🇬🇿🇦 :

cable assisted landing requires a high level of precision

Classitrader :

Amazing …. I didn’t even know i had a fighter jet 😆

By the way, how do you make these interactive videos? Would love to learn from you

bart platinum :

it's not magnetic, high pressure steam launches it forwards

masko :

Or just use a ski jump

Zinedine ⵣ𓄃 :

The ideas that you explain are truly good!!

goldenpinue :

I mean this is the us version of aircraft fighters, what Abt British or Russians which instead have a ramp at the end?

jass :

i heard that also when theyre landing they increase theyre speed incase they gave to redo
