@scottybrizzle: Big Food relies on clever marketing to convince you their products are healthy. They make things look healthy from the front of the pack, but flip it over and you’ll find a completely different story. It’s called healthwashing. Using buzzwords like “natural”, “high protein”, “gut friendly” or “plant-based” to create the impression that a product is good for you, while distracting you from what they’ve actually snuck in it. The front of the pack is designed to sell you the product. The back tells you what you’re actually buying. However, whole foods don’t need a marketing team. Steak doesn’t need a catchy slogan or a mascot. An apple doesn’t need a flashy label telling you it’s “gluten free”. Real food obviously speaks for itself. Don’t blindly trust the claims on the front of the pack. Be sure to flip it over, read the ingredients, question what you’re being told and do your own research. At the end of the day, these companies are trying to sell you something, not make you healthier. Send this to someone who never reads the ingredients and probably should...🔍 #reels #health #primal #wakeup #explore

Every vegetable on the shelf is a GMO by the way. It’s a weird thing to bring up on the “health” standpoint.
