@yourpositivehealth: A Brazilian researcher is helping develop a new way to support healing in people with diabetic foot wounds. ❤️ Professor Suélia Rodrigues and researchers at the University of Brasília created Rapha, a device that combines a natural latex dressing with LED light therapy. For people with diabetes, foot wounds can be harder to heal and may lead to serious complications, including infection and amputation. Early research on Rapha has shown promising results for wound healing, although more evidence is still needed to confirm whether it can reduce amputations. A hopeful example of how medical innovation could improve care for people living with diabetes. Follow @yourpositivehealth for more health discoveries and medical advances.
