@bangi.scrubs.igan: Have you ever wondered how an episiotomy is repaired after childbirth? 🤔 An episiotomy is a surgical incision made in the perineum, the area between the vaginal opening and the anus, during childbirth when clinically indicated. After delivery, the healthcare provider assesses the incision and checks for any additional tears. The repair is performed using sterile technique and appropriate anaesthesia, usually with absorbable sutures. The aim is to restore the normal anatomy of the perineum, control bleeding, and promote proper healing. After the procedure, the mother should be advised on perineal hygiene, pain relief, and signs of infection to watch out for. Remember, proper assessment, careful suturing, and good aftercare are essential for the mother’s recovery. ❤️ Follow for more midwifery and maternal health education! 🩺 #EpisiotomyRepair #Midwifery #MidwiferyEducation #NursingEducation #MaternalHealth
