Our sobriety is our own responsibility BUT no one who loves you would EVER even put you in that position in the first place! And genuinely, you were set up to fail because she made you feel like an outsider in your own relationship going in the bathroom like that. Absolutely vile. I’m so sorry you experienced all of this. The wild thing is, even at your lowest point and under the influence, your spirit didn’t trust her and knew in a way that you needed help (talking to the ring camera, etc). Your spirit has been fighting in every way to keep you here and get you healthy. Now your mind, body, and soul get to work together again to integrate, heal, and truly live 💜

One of my best friends appreciates me for being the one on the phone to just listen, even when I barely knew her. I’d sit and listen and cry with her. I didn’t always know what to say but at least she knew she wasn’t alone.

My friend is a sober girly and if ANYONE we were with ever asked if she wanted any and I was right there I would definitely take her to a different place and not just let her sit around it and do it

Hearing your partner dismiss your sobriety and actively get you to use especially with your doc is a whole other heartbreak. I know it takes two to tango, but that’s wild man. I’m so proud of you summer for gettin sober again and getting out of that relationship.

summer i am a 52 year old mother, and I am so fkn proud of you. its hard, addiction is hard, but for you to take accountability and getting yourself out of the cycle again is phenomenal. so if no one has told you I am extremely proud of who you were, and who you have become. love you
